Feel like you’re living in the 1990s? Now you can play the all new 2007 TMNT game on your computer! The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are back in another video game installment. You’ll be playing as Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, Raphael and April O’Neil on an adventure through Manhattan to fight off Shredder’s evil forces.

Experience Turtle Power on your computer with this brand new TMNT game! Live out scenes from the movie including fights with Foot Clan ninjas and boss battles with Baxter Stockman. Be able to go back to any place on the map that you’ve already found thanks to Leonardo’s improved sense of direction skills.

The game plays like a standard third-person action game, where the player controls turtles as they attempt to defeat enemies with weapons and martial arts. Using special abilities, the turtles can travel to different areas on both Manhattan and New Jersey. There are also many side-missions that the player can complete for extra cash (such as cleaning up streets littered with trash or driving back to their home base). There are also three different ’Routes’ that the player is free to choose from; each route is timed, with faster routes unlocking faster. The turtles’ health is represented by the player’s turtle shell. If the turtle’s health reaches zero, they are knocked out and must be revived before they can continue.

"Turtles in Time" was met with very positive reviews, earning an average of 87.91% on GameRankings and 87/100 on Metacritic for the Xbox version; 83/100 on GameRankings and 83/100 on Metacritic for the PC version; 78.5% on GameRankings and 79/100 on Metacritic for the PlayStation 2 version; all versions received a score of 8 out of 10 from "GamePro".

GameSpy’s Michael Lafferty scored it a 3/5, commenting that "The camera can be a real pain in the butt. It tends to swing around at the most inopportune times, but it can be adjusted manually. It’s also a little tricky to control the Turtles individually, as they tend to run around independently of each other without a lot of direction from you." However, he praised the cel-shaded graphics and wrote that "overall, though, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is quite fun."

The PlayStation 2 (PS2) port of "Turtles" received mixed reviews. GameSpot’s Greg Kasavin scored it an 8. 5 out of 10 with the following review:

The Ziff Davis publication "GamePro" gave the game an average rating of 79% in their review, calling it "an excellent, run-and-gun action game that’s at its best in single-player mode."

Reviewing the PC version, GameSpot’s Greg Kasavin scored it a 7.5 out of 10, writing that "the game is fast and fun if you’re not concerned about action or story line. The game has great graphics for this time in its life." He applauded the gameplay and multiplayer modes but criticized the AI of enemies.
